Standard Liquid Filters (Text, Arrays and Maths)

Escapes HTML characters so text is displayed safely rather than parsed as markup.

Adds a string to the end.

{{ 'sale' | append: '.jpg' }}  → sale.jpg

Adds a string to the start.

{{ 'world' | prepend: 'Hello ' }}

Number of characters in a string or items in an array.

Joins an array into a string with a separator.

Converts a string to lower or upper case.

Removes all HTML tags.

{{ product.description | strip_html }}

Removes line breaks.

Shortens a string to a character count. The count includes the ellipsis.

Shortens a string to a number of words.

Formats a date with strftime codes, or with a named format from your theme's locale file.
